Αυτές τις κασσέτες τις εδίναν στους 100 πρώτους, στα Brainstorm parties της Κυριακής, στο Troll. Πρέπει να είναι από την Άνοιξη του 1992.

Cherouvim
Οι Cherouvim ήταν ένα συγκρότημα Nitzhonot και uplifting trance μουσικής από την Αθήνα. Η μπάντα σχηματίστηκε από τον Ιωάννη Χερουβείμ και τον Κώστα Κιούση. Στην ομάδα προστέθηκε και ο Παναγιώτη Βαξεβανάκης που έλαβε μέρος σε τουλάχιστον 8 κομμάτια και ήταν ενεργός μέχρι τα μέσα της δεκαετίας του '90. Μετά το καλοκαίρι του '99 ο Πάνος άφησε την ομάδα λόγω της συνολικής αλλαγής του στυλ και ο Ιωάννης πήγε στην Αγγλία για σπουδές. Ο Ιωάννης επέστρεψε αργότερα και συνεργάστηκε πάλι με τον Κώστα.

this group is a story of some friends in athens who started listening to trance music years ago and later on they began going to psychedelic trance parties. someday somehow they realised that they could write their own music so they gave it a chance and gave a track to a big promoter/party organiser in athens and it all started like that! john started making tracks for that guy and later on panos joined him in this attempt to create tracks for this special people of that party called RLoaD. some months later kostas was in the team too giving a nice boost to the sound quality of the group. giving the people exactly what they wanted and the good promotion was what made this group very famous in greece from it's first steps. the first releases in greek and israeli compilations had already happened and everything was getting bigger and bigger. after the summer of 99 a lot of things happened. panos left the group because of total change of style and john went to UK for studies. kostas alone did a great job by creating killer tracks and presenting a new style that would soon be copied by all the new greek groups that would enter the 'uplifting-trance' music industry of greece.now the time has passed, ideas, style and sound technology knowledge have gone even further and by the use of new and powerful equipment john and kostas are producing music which is a lot more than just party-music. with more 'psychedelic trance' elements cherouvim now shows its new direction in the 'uplifting-trance' music.some people might understand, some may not...

| Some words about this joke called 'Greek trance-scene' During the last years the trance scene in Greece has fallen apart in terms of quality of music, events and people involved in it. Music got simplier and easier for all the people to understand, events got bigger and more commercial and the people in the parties had nothing to do with the music itself. Drugs became the highest priority in everyone's mind, while on the other hand, music, the party and the people in it became less important. Some people got really dissapointed about all these. Some just ignored this mess, which of course would never harm the quality music and 'private' parties of their own. A split took place sometime in '98 and two new terms for describing trance music were created for the Greek brain. The 'european' and the 'israeli' style. As expected two party-teams were about to be created and establish themselves as the only and best trance-music providers for the people. These were Sunrise and RLoaD, each one of them serving a style. Some might say that this was done for the shake and evolution of trance scene in Greece, but the truth is that this was done for commercial reasons and for keeping the people interested in the subject. Directing the scene into 2 opposite directions would be the key for keeping the (already unable to react from the drugs) people into the scene. Every Saturday everyone would be there giving a considerable amount of money to buy entertainment. To buy all those magical moments that the music of this famous DJ from abroad was offering. The spirit was not there anymore. There would never be a party like the first one of their life. What can be done ? In fact nothing can be done because either it's all finished now, or because a true scene never existed in Greece. What can each of us do is try to evolve and progress inside ourselves.
